Oiling was born from a simple, powerful truth: the most profound nourishment grows in the harshest places of Southern Regions of Morocco.Our founder, Fatima Er-rais grew up watching her grandmother in the Souss Valley—her hands patiently cracking argan nuts, her wisdom in blending oils for both the family table and their skin. She called it “liquid gold from the desert’s heart,” using it to heal, to cook, to celebrate.  in 2006, Argamar began as a vow: to honor that grandmotherly wisdom by bringing authentic Moroccan superfoods and beauty ingredients to the world—with integrity, transparency, and deep respect for the land and people that create them.

Our name reflects this promise: Arga for the tree that sustains, Mar for the sea of golden hope it represents in arid lands.

We partner exclusively with women’s cooperatives in southwestern Morocco who practice time-honored methods. Every argan nut is hand-cracked, every prickly pear fruit hand-peeled. We know each cooperative by name, visit each harvest, and ensure fair wages that empower entire communities.

2. Dual Purpose: Beauty and Wellness from One Source

We celebrate the Berber tradition of using argan oil both as a culinary treasure and a skin elixir.  we specialize in food-grade, cosmetic-grade purity across our range—because what nourishes from within also radiates without.

2009 –  Launched  products: Culinary Argan Oil &  Beauty Argan Oil, Prickly seed oil
2011 – Expanded to include other vegetable oil and introduced our signature gift sets
2011 – Received USDA Organic and ECOCERT certifications
2020 – Established our Argamar Roots Fund, returning 3% of sales to cooperative education and argan forest preservation
2022 – Opened our solar-powered facility in Agadir, combining traditional methods with sustainable technology
2024 – Welcomed by over 50,000 households worldwide, while maintaining direct relationships with 12 family-run cooperatives
